Travel Tip
Pack a few light weight pieces that easily transition from day to night in your carry on bag. That way you are covered if your baggage is lost. I pack a sweater, light weight dress, and a pair of dressier shoes + a swimsuit if I’m traveling somewhere warm. (L to R) Dress, Sweater, Clip, Flower Top, Leapord Print Dress, Linen Dress, Bag
This summer, I saw a major increase in my travel schedule, which offered me a chance for me to update my wardrobe. (You can shop my all recent fashion buys here.) Packing outfits for travel isn’t exactly a relaxing process for me. However, the silver lining to the endeavor is that I step up my fashion game. It’s likely the limited space that drives me to only make room for my best apparel.Â
This time around, it was time for some major wardrobe elevation because, let’s be honest, it’s been all lounge wear lately due to the current work from home environment we live in and general Mom life. Â When packing I stuck to a uniform, of sorts, that could easily transition from day to night, or be dressed up or down.
Work conferences for myself and Daren brought me to California once and us to Chicago twice in less than a month. This meant I needed to pack professional and casual wear. Luckily, there was also lots of opportunity for date night outfits during our travel. Since I haven’t been wearing my dressier clothing items lately, I jumped at the opportunity to pack the more fashion-forward pieces that were collecting dust in my closet.
