1. Create a warm welcome with minimalist decor.

Keep guest room decor simple, clean and inviting. Think of what makes your favorite hotel special. It’s likely clutter free, with lots of little luxuries thrown in.

2. Make a comfortable & well-dressed bed.

Invest in a really good mattress and clean, high quality bedding. We like to start with a white comforter and change out the linens and pillows seasonally. Don’t forget to add in a throw at the end of the bed. It adds style, plus it comes in handy for colder nights. We even store a few extra blankets, just in case, in a hamper nearby.

3. Provide fresh linens.

You never know when a guest may need an extra set of bed or bath linens. Accidents happen! Make both available. If you’re lucky, you may even get a guest who insists on using the extra bedding to make the bed when they leave.
